I've been stuck at 99% downloading something for six years. Ninety-nine percent! It's mocking me. It knows I'll never finish. None of us will.

The loading bar doesn't actually know how much is left. It just guesses. Sometimes it goes backward just to keep you humble. You think you're making progress? Think again.

My Loading Bar Theory

I believe loading bars are controlled by tiny demons who get joy from watching us stare at screens. Each second you wait, they collect a small fee. The whole system is corrupt.
