The Wrong Number

I meant to text my wife: "Running late, love you!" I accidentally sent it to my boss: "Running late, love you!" His response: "Uh... okay? See you soon?"

I then panicked and sent another text to "clarify" which made it worse. Now he thinks we have a "special bond." I don't know how to fix this.

The Follow-Up

I considered changing jobs, names, and possibly planets. Instead I just pretended it never happened. He still brings up "that cute text" sometimes. In front of people. At meetings.
